Quartz price increase

Quartz price increase

If everyone hasn't noticed prices have been going up to the last 15 months or so. There's a couple reasons for this but the most glaring is the increase in the price of the product due to tariffs.

A lot of the major brands in this country that sell quartz buy their supplies from China. With Trump's new tariffs in place there has been an increase in the pricing of Quartz but that is not the major reason.

The major reason for the price increase is due to an anti-dumping lawsuit filed in federal court by an American quartz manufacturer, Cambria. Cambria is a great company, so I'm not knocking them and in fact I get it.

I'm not sure whether I agree with this lawsuit or not but what I do know is that it is causing prices for quartz to go up in this country by a lot and in many cases almost double. Like most construction supplies in this country right now, prices are going up and that will have a direct correlation on the pricing of the final product whether it be a new construction home or remodel.

Either way, there are still Major brands not made in China that have great pricing....also customers can always stick with granite if they want a better price material or more bang for their buck. There's a lot more into it but it's still kind of boring so that'll be my quick post of the day.

Like I said before come down and talk to me if you want to know more about it...
